Saturday All Day
Saturday walks meet, for purposes of car sharing, at Grafton Place, Burleys Way, opposite St. Margarets Bus Station. See table for meeting time and place.
Note: Saturday walks tend to be longer and faster than others, intended for the fitter, more experienced walker, or those wishing to improve their level of fitness. The walk may not have been pre-walked, so distance shown is approximate.

Saturday Afternoon
All start at 2pm. 4 – 5 miles in length and led at a leisurely pace, lasting about 2 hours. Bring the youngsters!

Sunday Coach Rambles
A good day out with a pub stop, choice of three walks (strenuous, moderate and unhurried), and a meal before you come home.

Coach rambles leave at 8am prompt. The coach picks up on Narborough Road outside the Premier Inn (corner of Narborough Road and Braunstone Lane East). Parking is available by kind permission of the Premier Inn in their car park at the rear of the hotel (entrance in Braunstone Lane East). There is an additional early City Centre pick-up point at the bus stop on the corner of St Nicholas Circle / Castle Street.
There is a choice of three walks - approximate distances: A Walk: 12-14 miles B walk : 10-12 miles C walk: 8 – 9 miles.
An optional meal is arranged before the return journey home. Bring a drink and a packed lunch. You can change into boots during a toilet stop on the outward journey. The coach fare is at present £10 payable in advance. Cheques should be made payable to “L.R.C.A” and sent to the Coach Secretary, John Rhodes, from whom further information and booking details are available (Tel 0116 240 2077) – advance booking is essential.
Sunday All Day
Moderately paced rambles of 10 - 12 miles with a mid-day stop at a pub. Contact the leader or Brian Jeffs on 0116 2778452 for further information.
Sunday walks meet for the purpose of car sharing at Grafton Place (Burleys Way) opposite St Margaret’s Bus Station and leave prompt at 10.00am. People needing lifts from Grafton Place to the walk venue MUST contact the Walk Leader by Friday evening.

The walks start from the parish church in each village unless listed otherwise: please show consideration to locals when parking. Bring a packed lunch.
Car sharing is strongly encouraged. Drivers calling at Grafton Place to pick up ramblers appreciate voluntary contributions made by passengers. As a guide, 10p a mile is considered reasonable to cover costs. This suggested voluntary contribution (SVCA) is listed in the walk description.
Tuesday morning
These are short walks (5.5 to 6.5 miles) which start at 10 am from the venue specified. At the end of the walk an optional lunch is arranged at a local pub.
Tuesday Evening
A leisurely walk between 4 and 5 miles, ending at a pub for optional socialising. Especially suitable for beginners to rambling, and to family groups.

Thursday Morning
These are short walks (5.5 to 6.5 miles) which start at 10 am from the venue specified. At the end of the walk an optional lunch is arranged at a local pub. Contact John Jackson (0116 2865735) for more details.
Thursday Long
These may start before 10:00am and finish at about 3:30pm and are an an alternative to the short walks. They are about 10 miles (16km) long and one walk is arranged on the first Thursday of each month. A pub stop about halfway round will be arranged for an optional lunch, otherwise bring sandwiches (which can only be consumed at the pub with the pub's permission). As is the rule with ALL of our walks do not consume drinks from a flask or similar.
