When: Saturday 14th November, All day from 9am if you are walking and from 12:30pm for Lunch and the AGM.
Where: The Linford Club, 66 Main Street, Newtown Linford, LE6 0AD.
Parking in the car park at the rear of the Club.

- 4 Mile Ramble: Start 10:00am; meet at the Linford carpark. Leader – Richard Godbolt.
- 6 Mile Ramble: Start 9:30am; meet at the Linford carpark. Leader - Sue Forsythe.
- 9 Mile Ramble: Start 9:00am; meet at the Nook carpark, Anstey post code LE7 7AZ. Leader – John Hancock.
12:30pm. Lunch: A good number (limited, including veggie) cobs and tea will be available. The bar will be open.
Swap Shop: There will be a Swap Shop Stall for members to donate equipment, they no longer use, and for anyone else to make use of.
1:00 pm. Speaker: Edwin McWilliam, Access Manager, LCC. Title: “The Development of the Public Rights of Way (PROW) Network in Leicestershire”. The talk will last 45 min, followed by up to 15 min questions.
1:55pm Brief break to arrange AGM.
2:30pm AGM Starts. Finish by 3:30pm.
It will be great to see you all for the day, but if you can only spare time for part of the event, please turn up and join in - be it to have lunch, listen to the talk or ask questions of your committee and vote. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
Nominations are invited for the Executive Committee (see below) .
The Process of Electing the Committee: The tenure of each member of the executive committee is 3 years, so there is annual turnover of 3-5 committee members. At the end of their tenure, individuals may choose to continue in their role, offer to do a different role or fully retire.
This year two people are rotating off the committee: Mike Goodrich is retiring as Chairman and Melanie Smith is retiring as Webmaster.
Additionally, Andy Warburton is leaving as Records Officer, so that he can stand for the Webmaster role and Melanie Smith (retiring Webmaster) has volunteered to stand as Records Officer.
In discussions at the committee, Sue Forsythe has volunteered for the Chair role, and Sonali Gandhi-Sayani has volunteered to take on the Membership and Area Rep. role, that Sue vacates in taking the Chair.
We also have vacancies for Publicity Secretary and for the Coach Secretary.
The Executive Committee invites nominations for the four vacant roles.

Please be aware that any member of the Leicester Group may propose themselves for any of the roles on the Executive Committee. Hence all members of the current committee are subject to re-election on an annual basis at the AGM. You must be present at the AGM to vote.
To nominate yourself for a specific role, please send your name to Mike Goodrich, before the start of the AGM. He will ask you to identify another Ramblers member to 'Second' your proposal. If there are multiple nominations for the same role, then following discussion at the AGM, one candidate will be elected by a show of hands, for and against. In the event of a tie the Chair has a casting vote.
Membership of the Executive Committee. Whilst we are most keen to receive proposals for the vacant roles, anyone may propose themselves for any of the Committee roles at the AGM.
